Ghost Hunters is one of my favorite shows. I don’t make plans for Wedsnesday nights, all of my friends and family know where to find me at that time… in front of the TV! Keep hunting and I’ll keep watching.

Why do they constantly bring overbaring wrestlers on these live feeds. They deter from the episode. Please leave them out in the future.

What’s up with the guy with the dread locks and head lamp that entered the room? Is he the sound effects guy doing the ghost noises?

It seems to me that if the crew would behave more appropriately to the era, converse about the Civil War, talk about home in the Southern states, etc., that they might appear to fit in with the spirits of the inmates and might get more activity.

I saw his coller move back when he said he got pulled.I also heard the voice of the guy saying “your not supposed to be here” twice. This definately made my halloween.I hope the footage from the cameras catch more though.

I was curious as to who that guy with the dreadlocks was also and why was he in the kitchen pantry? I don’t think that we were supposed to see him and Jay and Grant both looked pretty annoyed that he showed himself on camera. I think there are more people around than they let on. Supposedly no one else was supposed to be there besides the two of them and the camera guy. And isn’t it weird that the major disturbances usually only happen around Jay and Grant? Why are ghosts so particular? And what the heck is up with that K-2 meter gizmo? How do they know that it’s measuring paranormal activity? Who makes this stuff? The light could go off by some type of remote control device being manipulated by someone we don’t see on camera…..like a guy with dreadlocks hiding in a closet!!

I love gh but this live special was atrocious. From the “Miz” mocking the whole thing, to Jason and Grant having to tell the chick and Asian dude to go investigate the “banging sound” not talk about the real world, to the dude with dreadlocks.
This was just bad.

I LOVE Ghost Hunters, and haven’t missed an episode yet, however I got to say that the “Miz” was a sad joke. He was a goof on MTV and he doesn’t seem to have changed much. I was not impressed with him trying to talk about himself, or his groovy ring moves. Whoopee Miz. Rock on with your bad self…cause no one else will. The cast of TAPS seems so down to earth, and above such a shallow person as a miz…what the hell is a miz anyhow??? A fungal problem?

Ok, I’m sorry but while I was a fan of Taps and GH I have to say this undoes all of that. First, if the voice in the dungeon saying ‘You don’t belong here’ was real then why wasn’t Jason more excited about it? Because frankly that would be THE piece of conclusive proof that everyone has always been looking for, for the existence of ghosts. It happened live and it was loud as hell not some possible auditory anomaly only heard after the fact when a recording has been played back at 900x volume. Then we have the guy with dreadlocks and the miners light in hiding in the pantry. Again you have to look at Jason and the way he reacted. He was like WTF is this guy doing showing himself on camera. Even if you take the least skeptical view here that he walked in the door next to the pantry and was simply a member of the crew or someone from the facility Jason’s reaction and not dealing with it directly makes it incredibly suspicious. Its very easy to take the tact that the dude was hiding out in the pantry eating the watermelon they said was in there making the cold air come out when Steve and Tango were in there and later he was more than happy to create the knocking on queue as Jason and Grant asked for it as soon as he got back from making the scary voices down in the dungeon. I’m sorry but that one dude with the dreadlocks cast massive doubt on the believability of the entire production. Then there is the Miz and Amanda Tapping. While I really love Amanda Tapping from Stargate I have to say I feel sorry for her. First she ends up taking the role on sanctuary which is trying to do feature film special effects with the budget of sitcom TV and the visual effects skill of the guys that do southpark. God bless her, because she tries really hard to sell the show and due to her its been a partial sucess. But they need to take a lesson from Heroes and learn to film a sequence using the minimal amount of CGI elements to create the same visual effect. Not have an actor in a big green room. Unless you have a budget the size of a Spielberg movie and two effects houses with warehouses full of inferno workstations rendering for 2 months before each episode airs, that tact is never going to work. You aren’t going to end up with a believable set of effects. And similarly, I felt her performance tonight was the same. She seemed like she knew this was major BS and she was still trying to sell it. Almost as if Sci-fi had her make some kind of faustian pact that required her to stay on, on a show that wasn’t working and appear on a GH live special that she knew was faked or she would lose her eternal soul. And now for the Miz. For those who watched real world, and real world road rules the guantlet and inferno. The Miz is a bit of a goofy but amusing person who was well suited to the reality genre. For some reason his goal was to become a professional wrestler which he has now done. Which kind of surprises me because for a wrestler he lacks height and a certain anabolic steroid induced muscular hypertrophy, bloat, and also the necessary megalomania which the field typically requires… Congrats to him I guess… Sadly he is nearly as out of place on this show as the guy with dreads and the miners light hiding out smoking a fatty and eating the watermelon in the pantry. By the way why in the hell is wrestling on Sci-Fi anyway and who the hell canceled Stargate???
PS. Jason, you never should have let grant talk you into this. You guys almost created believability and scientific validity in a genre that certainly didn’t need to get caught faking it on live television….
