Today is a very unfortnate day for out fellow American Express workers. There are over 7,000 American express layoffs today. It is sad to see this many American Express job cuts.
American Express is the latest company to announce bad news – the New York-based credit card company said it plans to cut 7,000 jobs, about 10 percent of its global work force, as it tries to slash $1.8 billion in costs in 2009.
The company said the cuts will affect several business units, but the bulk of layoffs will be from management positions.
